Job Title:  Commission Analyst


Location:  Irvine, CA


Job Summary:

Houzz is looking for a talented Commission Analyst to join our Sales Planning team! This individual will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to quickly establish a rapport with all levels of internal staff. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, independent thinker, possesses a positive, team-oriented attitude and has tremendous organizational skill. Confidentiality will be a critical attribute. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, is approachable and personable, and must be used to working with confidential, sensitive information.



Job Duties and Responsibilites:   

  • Compile data and resources to calculate bonuses and commissions using Excel and commission calculation tool
  • Commission/bonus calculator creation which accurately payouts according to the comp plan
  • Understand all compensation plans and how to accurately calculate pay for all departments and groups
  • Calculate compensation plan scenarios and compile cost/benefit analysis (ex. Using current data/results, calculate based on revised plan parameters)
  • Ability to identify and avoid potential sources of error
  • Resolve sources of errors/issues
  • Surface issues to team/managers as needed
  • Ad-hoc payroll/performance related analysis



Job Requirements:    

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • 5-10 Years of working experience (3-7 years in an analytical/payroll related role)
  • Expert Excel skills - comfortable with VLOOKUP functions, SUMIF formulas, Pivot tables
  • Excellent attention to detail with proven track record of accurately running commissions/bonuses
  • A love for working with numbers (you revel in your geekiness)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of Salesforce
