Among the issues included will be a discussion of:

  • Eliminating numerical performance ratings – pros and cons.
  • How performance management design and process interacts with pay equity efforts.
  • How panel member companies improve company-wide ownership of performance management.

 Stephanie Beaulac

Vice President Human Resources

As Vice President of Human Resources at Yokohama, Stephanie Beaulac partners with all levels of the organization including executives and front-line managers to strategically align the business direction of the organization through results-driven people solutions. On a national level Stephanie leads efforts in talent management, leadership development, organization design, succession planning, compensation; including union negotiations and executive incentive planning, employee relations, and engagement. She successfully built Yokohama’s HR infrastructure by implementing HRIS, best practice policies, and compliance while maintaining high level employee buy-in and retention. Stephanie lead initiatives in building high performance teams scaling across the US, Canada and Asia. As part of the executive leadership team, pioneering all areas of HR progress she designed, developed and implemented regionally relevant HR programs, policies and procedures aligned with business needs.

 Lorna Larson-Paugh

Sr. Director Human Resources

Avid BioServices Inc.

Lorna’s experience includes: organizational development, training and development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations and international human resources. In her past roles, Lorna has developed and executed organizational strategies both to start up and turn around organizations across industries including pharmaceutical, medical device, manufacturing financial services and internet commerce. Her track record of building business specific solutions includes experience in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Her undergraduate degree is from the Business School at California State University at Long Beach, with an emphasis on Human Resources. She holds a Master’s degree in Business from Pepperdine University. She has earned SPHR and CCP designations. She serves as a Corporate Mentor for business students at CSULB and on the Human Resources Management Advisory Committee for the Extension Program at UC Irvine.

 Lisa Szabo

VP Learning & Development

First American

Lisa Szabo is Vice President of Learning and Development at First American, headquartered in Santa Ana, California. In her role, Lisa is responsible for the corporate talent development strategy, which includes leadership development programs, talent development, succession planning, and evaluation of the talent pipeline and how best to address future gaps. Previously, Lisa was the Head of Human Resources at Biola University. In this role, she led the Human Resources function for the University with responsibility for strategy development and execution, leadership development programs, talent development, succession planning, compensation and benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition and Academic Human Resources. 

Lisa has previous Human Resources experience with First American where she served as Director of HR, Direct Division; Vice President, Talent Acquisition; HR Manager, Mortgage Solutions and HR Manager, Core Logic. She holds a BS in Organizational Psychology from Concordia University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Executive Coaching at Concordia University.
