The benefits landscape is experiencing an explosion of innovation and change. Some organizations are taking advantage of the opportunities and all are being challenged by the increasing velocity. Learn about the forces, companies and solutions that are disrupting the landscape of health and well-being benefits. In this session, Sander Domaszewicz, nationally recognized benefits expert, will share insights into his work with emerging benefits and ways to encourage business leaders to stay involved and informed around the latest health care cost and quality strategies.

Our guest presenter will be:

Alexander "Sander" Domaszewicz
Principal, Consultant and Consumerism Practice Leader, Mercer

Sander’s prior experience includes project management in the Health & Group Benefits Delivery Services group at a large multi-national consulting firm for benefits administration outsourcing. In this capacity he addressed benefits-related outsourcing issues, systems integration, design, and testing as well as database administration and training. Prior to benefits outsourcing project management, Sander managed a hearing health care facility in Southern California, giving him exposure to issues from the provider perspective.

Sander is a frequent presenter at health care and benefits-related events, is often quoted in the media around health and benefit issues, has published articles in Benefits Quarterly, Employee Benefit News, HR Magazine, Workforce and HR Executive and was awarded “Most Innovative Benefits Consultant” by IHC. Sander holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Cornell.

Sander is a Principal and Senior Consultant housed in the Mercer Health & Benefits (Mercer) Irvine, California office working to “fix healthcare.” He heads up Health Consumerism and Health Engagement efforts for Mercer’s Total Health Management group, and has led many health innovation efforts developing and implementing non-traditional solutions that reshape the marketplace. His work often revolves around emerging benefits and ways to encourage groups to become more involved and informed around health care cost and quality.
